What career path and training opportunities can be provided?
Training and evaluation for Sensata China are based on different positions and experience levels. Regarding training, a “Sensata buddy”, either a senior engineer or a supervisor, will be appointed to help new employees with both personal and professional growth. In terms of evaluation, every employee will have their mid-term and full-term evaluation through periodical reviews with their managers. An example of a potential career path after an employee could be - Engineer – Supervisor - Managerr.
What about the schedule for campus recruiting and promotions?
Sensata China holds campus presentations and promotion activities in April and October every year in various cities such as Beijing,Shanghai, Nanjing, Xi’an, Harbin, Wuhan, Hefei and Changzhou etc. Please pay close attention to sensata job site, Sensata Homepage on Yingjiesheng and campus BBS and posters for exact time and venue.
How can I participate in the campus presentations and recruiting activities?
Everyone is welcome to attend Sensata China campus presentations and recruiting activities! Sensata management team members, active school fellows and human resource professionals will meet with you and share information about our product portfolios, company perspectives and so on. What is the campus recruitment process?
On-campus / online applications -> On-campus interviews -> Comprehensive on-site interviews. Shortlisted candidates who applied for positions with Changzhou Make and Baoying Make will be invited to Changzhou/Baoying Plant for a one-day event.
What are the basic requirements for candidates?
We appreciate well-qualified candidates who are results-driven, with high ethical standards and a “can do” attitude. Requirements may be different for each role, including English level, etc. and details can be found in our job descriptions.
Are there any preferred majors?
Those who are majoring in electronics, mechanics, materials, etc. are preferred. But we also have jobs available in finance, purchasing and supply chain management, marketing, sales and human resources. Please check our job board for the list of opportunities at www.sensata.com.
Why does Sensata have high requirements for applicants in English?
Sensata Technologies is a multi-national company that conducts its business in English. Most of our professional employees have contact on a regular basis with people outside of China. Strong English communication skills make overseas training possible and contribute to successful worldwide project teams.
I am not a student of those targeted universities that Sensata hold campus presentations; can I still apply?
Sensata welcomes all who are interested in our vacancies! You are welcome to participate in our campus recruiting application and interview programs. If you do well, Sensata may consider your university / college a targeted school for next year’s recruitment activities!
Where are the working locations?
Most of our employees are located in Sensata Technologies Changzhou Co., Ltd., Sensata Technologies Baoying Co., Ltd. and Sensata Technologies Shanghai Co., Ltd. We also have a Business Center in Shanghai and sales offices throughout China.
What about the compensation and benefits (C&B) for employees? How long is my probation period?
We provide competitive C&B package for employees. Your salary will be stated in the offer letter. The probation period lasts for 3 months (employment contract for 3 years).
